Child Safety Standards
Turnout is a social planning app for friend groups. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards explain what we ban, how to report it, and how we respond.
Zero tolerance
The following are never allowed on Turnout:
- Any sexual content involving minors (anyone under 18), including images, videos, text, or links
- Grooming, solicitation, or exploitation of minors
- Sharing, requesting, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Attempts to use Turnout to facilitate CSAE offline or on other platforms
How we prevent and respond
- Users can Report comments, messages, and other content in the app
- Users can Block other people to hide them from their experience
- We review reports and may remove content, suspend or permanently ban accounts, and preserve evidence when required
- Where required by law, we report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or other appropriate authorities
- We aim to review serious safety reports within 24 hours
How to report
If you see content or behavior that may involve CSAE or CSAM:
- Use Report in the app on the relevant content when available
- Email nickpm21@gmail.com with the subject line "Urgent — child safety", including links, screenshots, usernames, or group/event details if you have them
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
